Mojado was abandoned on the Schreiner Campus in our first year here, and we adopted him. His name means "wet" in Spanish, and we named him this because he drooled copiously on his way home. We discovered later that his name is slang here for illegal immigrants, but by the time we found this out it was too late. Mojado he remains. A smart guy with an large and expanding vocabulary, he lives to chase deer and mail carriers.

Autolycus showed up at our door in the arms of a little girl who was looking for the dog's owner. She was about 6 weeks old at the time, and in need of some veterinary assistance. Once healthy, she proved to be a cute, adorable bully. Here name comes from Greek mythology...Autolycus means "the wolf himself", and the man was Odysseus' grandfather. The original Autolycus was a noted wrester and rogue. Ours is too.
